Quantitative Research
Quantitative research applies mathematical and statistical methods to financial data, seeking to identify patterns, relationships, and structures that can be systematically studied and validated.
Why It Matters
Quantitative methods bring discipline and rigor to the study of financial markets. Rather than relying on intuition or anecdote, quantitative research uses data, mathematics, and statistical frameworks to evaluate hypotheses about market behavior.
Research Questions
- How can systematic approaches reduce human bias in market analysis?
- What statistical frameworks best capture different market regimes?
- How do we measure the robustness of a quantitative finding?
- What is the relationship between data quality and research reliability?
Methods
Experiments
Current experiments focus on comparing different statistical frameworks for identifying market regimes and evaluating the stability of quantitative findings across different time periods and market conditions.
Validation
All quantitative findings are validated through out-of-sample testing, walk-forward analysis, and cross-validation procedures. Results that cannot be reproduced under controlled conditions are flagged and re-examined.
